Visual examination and weather-tightness survey support where hatch cover condition or water ingress risk requires attention.
The survey scope should be agreed in advance so the attendance focuses on the operational or claims question that needs to be answered. Where specialist engineering, class, statutory or laboratory input is required, that should be arranged separately from the field survey.
